Good morning. Let’s #TakeAction for Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
Tell Congress: Read the Mueller report
Date: Robert Mueller will testify before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on Wednesday, 24 July.
Action: WillCongressAct.org indicates Senator Cantwell and Congresswoman Schrier have not done their duty to hold the executive branch accountable; they have not made any public statement indicating they’ve read the Mueller report as Senator Murray has.
Background: Before Mueller testifies this week, Congress MUST do its homework — and read the Mueller report in full. Special Counsel Robert Mueller will testify before Congress this Wednesday. For the first time, our elected representatives will get to ask him about his investigation into Russian election interference — and whether President Trump obstructed justice to impede that investigation. All eyes will be on our Members of Congress, who’ll finally have the chance to set the record straight about Mueller’s findings. But there’s one major problem… far too many lawmakers haven’t even read Mueller’s report yet.
