#TakeAction 1 – COVID-19 Relief Bills Advocacy Training
Action: Sign up for webinars to learn more about how to support the critical HEROES COVID-19 relief bill:
· Monday, 18 May, 12 p.m. PDT: https://indivisible.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJEucOGhrD8pHtNss-JQ44P1kfemZ2PHmWCR
· Tuesday, 19 May, 5 p.m. PDT: https://indivisible.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJUlfuGhqjgpE9XhA8NO88S4bBObo901X5Ns
Background: The current administration’s response to the COVID-19 epidemic is not enough to help working people. The House of Representatives voted Friday on the next relief package — The HEROES Act. Join Indivisible’s National Policy Director Angel Padilla in taking a deeper look into the new bill and hear why we must push our Senators to step up and help working people, families, and protect our elections. During this hands-on webinar, you’ll have a chance to take action on the spot and make a plan on how to encourage others to take action at this critical time.
#TakeAction 2 – Food Shortage – Help feed hungry neighbors in Washington
With the pandemic crisis, many Washingtonians are going hungry. Here are two ways to help:
*Governor Inslee’s Washington Food Fund supports the three largest hunger relief organizations in our state.

*The Washington Potato Commission is connecting unsold Washington potatoes to food banks. The potatoes were grown for the foodservice industry, mostly to be manufactured into French fries, but are not being used due to the crisis. They need to raise 7 cents per pound to cover washing, bagging, and transporting potatoes to distribution points: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-washington-potato-growers-feed-those-in-need
