Over 5,000 people turned out in Issaquah on June 14 to peacefully declare, NO KINGS! It was historic and it mattered. With so much at stake, we want an even bigger turnout on October 18.

  • Bring your friends, your family, and your neighbors to this peaceful event.
  • Bring your signs, costumes, bubbles, music and other creative props.
  • If you have one, bring an American flag! Because this is all about our country, our rights, our neighbors, our communities.
  • Wear yellow: For generations, people around the world have used color to show collective strength in the face of oppression. Movements around the world have used yellow as a symbol of nonviolent resistance. Ours is no different: We align ourselves with this historic context while taking a step into our shared future. Think of it as a shared symbol. It does not need to be an entire outfit. A bandana, a hat, a shirt — any bright pop of yellow will work perfectly.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Parking

Parking is available towards both ends of the rally route. Please do not park at Costco or other private parking lots. Car pooling is encouraged!  (See map below)

If mobility is not an issue for you, please park in the lots that are a little further away, like the Issaquah Park & Ride, and leave parking for those with accessibility issues in the lots that are closer to our rally site. Thank you!

Spread the word

The best way to get the word out is for you to personally let your people know! Send a text, call them, email them! Tell them why you believe it’s so important to show up! Ask them to join you! Make a plan to attend together. And, don’t forget to tell them to share with their circles of friends, too!

Donate to help with rally costs

We mostly run on volunteer time and energy but some things cost money – printing flyers and informational handouts, sign materials and amplification so folks can hear leaders and music.

We need to raise $1000 to support this event. No donation is too small!

Other tips

  • Bathrooms As a large crowd is expected, if you’re able, please take care of business before arriving so we do not overwhelm local businesses.
  • Keep Issaquah Beautiful! Your help is much appreciated – leave no trace – pack it in, pack it out!
  • Area Businesses Consider supporting local businesses by shopping or having a meal after the event!
