☮️ Build Your De-escalation Skills

As the protests get larger, tensions have arisen at some protest sites. This is not to scare you! Our “Hands Off!” was peaceful, as were events around the country that day despite larger than expected crowds. But, it’s better to be well-prepared before problems happen.

Our friends at Indivisible Eastside have created this guide to de-escalation training materials, where you can find a document, a video, as well two opportunities to join a zoom training with a live facilitator.

🖊️ Pre-register for No Kings Issaquah Saturday, June 14th, 11:00am – 1:00pm

Registration for our Issaquah event is up at Mobilize. Your pre-registration helps us estimate crowd size and be prepared.

We will sign wave from about 11:00 to 11:45, then march to City Hall for a rally. Those with mobility issues around standing for long periods of time or marching should join us at City Hall at about 11:50.

Next Community Meeting this Saturday June 7th

Call our Senators about the Bogus Billionaire Boondoggle Budget

In the dead of night, House Republicans passed their Big Brutal Bill with drastic cuts to federal programs for ordinary Americans and huge tax breaks for the one-percent.

Our own Senator Patty Murray has the complete list of the terrible cuts here.

Democrats are not lining up behind this bill… but we want our Senators to FIGHT HARD!

  • Ask for their public appearances schedule to find out how they are embarrassing Republicans who are voting for this bill
  • Demand that they use every available tool to stop the cuts. If you click the link, you’ll see that our Senators have lots of creative ways they could derail progress on this bill.

You can also take action to fight this bill by joining Indivisible National’s phone banks to swing-state voters whose Senators may be vulnerable if they vote for this terrible bill. Learn more at https://indivisible.org/stopthecuts
