Washington Public Schools Strong – Kick Off August 19th

Do you want honest, equitable, and fully-funded public schools in Washington State? Are you ready to take action beyond rallies and calls to legislators? Let’s get organized!

Many of us are seeing emboldened actions of MAGA folks in our communities and online, tech companies are sucking up to Trump, and our free press is being cowed in the face of existential attacks by the administration. During these unprecedented times, it’s important for us to connect locally to defend our rights and those in our communities.

Our state organization, Washington Indivisible Network, has a public schools committee that works closely with Washington Stop Moms 4 Liberty to advocate for equitable and inclusive public education. These organizations are now merging their efforts with HEAL Together’s Public Schools Strong. This alliance will allow us to use nationally proven trainings and techniques to protect and strengthen Washington public education.

This collaboration will facilitate hyper-local organizing – off of Facebook. Public Schools Strong (PSS) provides a platform for connecting with others at the State and School District level enabling direct communication among folks working on issues that are important to each district.

Together we can:

  • Advocate for all students in our school districts
  • Connect with advocates in other communities
  • Join a nationwide movement to advance a vision of honest, equitable, and fully funded public education for every student
