These resources are directed at immigrants. Many are printable for distribution.

Safety Planning

  • The Immigrant Safety Plan document is a collective community resource to help parents plan for the care of their child(ren) (with or without status) in the event that a parent is unable to care for their child, particularly if the parent is detained or deported.
  • The ReadyNow app helps immigrants prepare in case of arrest
    • One-click emergency alerts via SMS to pre-selected contacts
    • Personalized emergency plans for childcare, medical needs, legal support, and more 
    • Option to share key information with National Immigration Legal Response Alliance (NILRA) if faced with arrest, a national network of pro bono immigration attorneys
    • Currently available in six languages: English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Haitian Kreyol, and French

KCLS Welcoming Centers

For in person assistance, the King County Library System has resources for immigrants at the Welcoming Center. In-person services are available at the Auburn, Bellevue, Federal Way 320th, Kent, Redmond, and Tukwila branches. Check the website for times. They can also be contacted online.

The national Immigrant Legal Resource Center provides printable info cards with our US Constitutional rights in multiple languages. These are smaller and easy to print on a tight budget.
