How to No Kings

  1. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors. Bring your American flags and signs. Bring your costumes, music, bubbles, cowbells, and other creative props. Or come as you are, with your dedication to liberty and justice for all!
  2. Dress for the weather. We’ll be there rain or shine!
  3. Explore the venue. While some of the fun will be roaming up and down, other things will be set up so that you go to them. Watch for information tables, musicians, and various displays. Locations of first aid stations, Indivisible-WA8 info tables, musicians and drummers on the map are approximated and subject to change based on conditions that day.
  4. Safety first! Stay on the sidewalks, cross at the crosswalks, and obey the safety marshals.

Getting there

Parking: Free parking is available in the lots marked in the map above at either end of the route. Pickering Barn has an event scheduled that day so please do not plan on parking in the Pickering Barn lot or the Costco lot.

Limited parking for those with disabilities is available in the Alpine Animal Hospital parking lot which is closed on Saturdays

Access via bus: From the Issaquah Transit Center, board the 203 bus towards the Issaquah Highlands Park and Ride, or ride the 203 in the opposite direction if coming from Sammamish. Get off on Northwest Sammamish Road near Costco. There are sidewalks from the Issaquah Transit Center to the protest area if you want to walk from there.

Be kind to our elders

Many have communicated their interest in attending, and also their limited mobility and energy. Please look out for them and thank them for their activism!

Car Caravan Option

New for No Kings 3! For those that might not want to stand on the street but want to participate, we are organizing a car parade option. Please email for details volunteer.indivisiblewa08@gmail.com.

No Kings Issaquah is a Peaceful Protest

Peaceful protest is our strength, and authoritarians are threatened by peaceful protest. Their claims of violence and war-ravaged cities and their threats to investigate “anti-American” groups are meant to stop us from exercising our constitutional rights. They’re timed to divide us and intimidate people into silence – days before No Kings on March 28. We know that the best response to attacks on our rights is to exercise our rights. And that means showing up on March 28 in huge numbers.

Indivisible Washington’s 8th events are peaceful. That is our commitment and one of our core principles. We know that the moms, dads, grandparents, active and retired business owners, nurses, faith leaders, artists, writers, union members, engineers, and others who make up Indivisible Washington’s 8th District are deeply committed to supporting our communities and peacefully protecting our democracy.

Movements that last – movements that win – are disciplined, courageous, and grounded in values. How do we as Indivisibles live these principles and values?

  • We provide safety and de-escalation training in-person and online.
  • We build protest and rally safety teams trained in safety and de-escalation techniques.
  • We work with local law enforcement to create safe conditions, with our right to free speech and our commitment to peaceful protest front and center.
  • We expect every participant at our events to uphold our commitment to peaceful protest.

Here’s what we need from you:

  • Reaffirm our principles. Share Indivisible’s nonviolence commitment with your friends, family, and neighbors. Make sure everyone knows: Indivisibles show up firmly, strategically, and peacefully.
  • Stay safe and disciplined. Sign up for an upcoming training here, or watch a recorded safety training.
  • Stay on sidewalks, cross at crosswalks, obey our safety marshals.
