Decline to Sign Bad Initiatives
Plus Winterfest thank-yous, protect our privacy, January plans, and updates from National.

Winterfest was Wonderful!
Winterfest is always a good time, and this year was no exception. Friends old and new came together at cozy Beaver Lake Lodge for fabulous food and a hilarious game of trivia. The night definitely lifted our spirits high. As one person shared, “I didn’t know how much I needed this.”
We also collected donations for The Garage Teen Cafe. A hearty thank you to all who joined us and to all who donated! If you didn’t have a chance to donate to The Garage, you can do so here!
Take Action Against IL26-001 and IL26-638

Bad Ballot Initiatives are back, and you can help!
From banning trans girls from sports, to forced outing, taking away students’ ability to confide in school counselors, and possible invasive exams of “reproductive organs” for some girls, Initiatives IL 26-001 and 26-638 will threaten the safety of every Washington student.
While costs are skyrocketing and our country is divided, Brian Heywood, a mega-millionaire from California, wants to distract you from real problems by attacking vulnerable kids, especially immigrant, neurodivergent, homeless and LGBTQ+ students. He is using out-of-state paid signature gatherers to promote poorly written initiatives.
Washingtonians defeated Brian Heywood and his Bad Ballot Initiatives before, and we can do it again!
Learn How License Plate Readers Put Our Privacy at Risk

We all deserve to move freely without worrying that our whereabouts and daily routines are being recorded and shared with the federal government or other entities. The unregulated use of license plate reader cameras in our state puts that freedom at risk.
Learn more this Wednesday, December 10, from 5:30 – 6:30 at this ACLU webinar co-sponsored by partners including Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, OneAmerica, and Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates, and more.
