October 18 is on track to be the largest day of peaceful, non-violent protest in American history. You do not want to miss it.
#NOKINGSISSAQUAH

Peacefully and proudly, we are showing up and standing up in Issaquah at a new, high-visibility location along Northwest Sammamish Road – from Issaquah’s iconic Pickering Barn to the I-90 Overpass at Exit 15. (See the map, below)

#NOKINGSISSAQUAH is a PEACEFUL PROTEST
Peaceful protest is our strength, and authoritarians are threatened by peaceful protest. Their claims of violence and war-ravaged cities and their threats to investigate “anti-American” groups are meant to stop us from exercising our constitutional rights. They’re timed to divide us and intimidate people into silence – days before No Kings on October 18. We know that the best response to attacks on our rights is to exercise our rights. And that means showing up on October 18 in huge numbers.
Indivisible Washington’s 8th events are peaceful. That is our commitment and one of our core principles. We know that the moms, dads, grandparents, active and retired business owners, nurses, faith leaders, artists, writers, union members, engineers, and others who make up Indivisible Washington’s 8th District are deeply committed to supporting our communities and peacefully protecting our democracy.
Movements that last – movements that win – are disciplined, courageous, and grounded in values. How do we as Indivisibles live these principles and values?
- We provide safety and de-escalation training in-person and online.
- We build protest and rally safety teams trained in safety and de-escalation techniques.
- We work with local law enforcement to create safe conditions, with our right to free speech and our commitment to peaceful protest front and center.
- We expect every participant at our events to uphold our commitment to peaceful protest.
Here’s what we need from you:
- If you will be out of town on October 18, plan to attend an event where you will be.
- Reaffirm our principles. Share Indivisible’s nonviolence commitment with your friends, family, and neighbors. Make sure everyone knows: Indivisibles show up firmly, strategically, and peacefully.
- Stay safe and disciplined. Sign up for an upcoming training here, or catch up with the ones you’ve missed.
See you at #NoKingsIssaquah on October 18. Maybe we’ll see a dancing frog or two.

@ 12:30 – 1:30PM at Front St & Gilman Blvd
Registration Link Coming Soon! We’re taking action to demand Republicans end the shutdown by negotiating a bipartisan budget deal that protects healthcare and reins in Trump’s manipulation of federal funds. Democrats must continue holding the line and fighting to stop Trump’s authoritarian attacks on our healthcare, communities, and democracy!
Come for our 10am Community Meeting at the Issaquah Senior Center, Stay for the Visibility Event!!

No Oath to Trump – Veterans Day Visibility Action
Tuesday, November 11 @4:00 – 5:00PM
I-90 Exit 15 Overpass, Issaquah, WA 98027
Register here. The purpose of this national event is to give Veterans a platform to express their outrage with the Trump administration’s steamrolling of our Constitution and the rule of law. Veterans, as well as all public servants who swear an oath to the Constitution, are tired of the administration thinking military service members make oaths to the president!
We stand with Veterans. We extend a special invitation to Veterans and their families to join us for this special action.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
