Key Dates
October 16
Start of 18-day voting period (through Election Day).
Ballots are mailed out and accessible voting units (AVUs) are available at voting centers.
October 26
Online and mail voter registration is available until 8 days before Election Day.
November 3
You can register or update your Washington voter registration in person at a voting center right up until Election Day.
November 3
Election Day – Deposit your ballot in an official drop box by 8 pm on Election Day.

- Double check your registration You can also sign up for ballot-tracking texts by texting VOTE to 868392
- Research candidates and issues
- Plan to get your ballot in early – over 20,000 ballots arrived too late to be counted in the primary election!
- If you wait for the last minute, do not use the post office. It may not get a postmark until it reaches a sorting center a day or two later!
- Find a drop box or voting center to avoid mail delays

📬 Postcarding
Indivisible WA-8 has an active Postcards to Swing States program. These postcards emphasize voter turnout in swing states. Email indivisiblewa8@gmail.com to get your postcards and addresses. You provide postage. But, if this would be a financial challenge, ask if any of our donated stamps are still available!
Postcards4WA supports state and local level candidates. You must complete a registration process, including providing information for PDC compliance, before you can get addresses. Sign up here and join the over 80 writers already writing! If you would like to buy stamps or supplies for others who can’t afford them, you sign up on the same form. Writers provide both the postcards and the stamps for this program, and all cards should be mailed on Oct 13th. The current list of candidates with available addresses is here.
