Vote!

So vote, already!
If you’re receiving this Newsletter, you probably don’t need to be reminded, but – TOMORROW is Election Day! If you haven’t yet voted, do it now. Like, right now!
And don’t rely on the USPS to get your ballot delivered by the deadline – use a ballot drop box – there is one near you!
Then get on the phone to make sure that your similarly-minded friends, neighbors and family do the same thing. The only way we decide is if we vote.

Be prepared to mobilize – if needed
We do not know what will happen on Election Day or in the post-election days as ballots are counted, certified, and a new Congress is seated.
What we do know is that if the nature of election subversion requires it, the No Kings coalition will call for a response where it makes the most difference – likely starting in states/cities that are directly affected.
However, if a more national response is called for, Seattle has been designated a “Solidarity City” and we will answer the call. The details – place and time – will depend upon the circumstances, but each of us needs to be prepared to get ourselves with friends and neighbors into Seattle on short notice.

Here are steps you can take today:
- Sign up for communications and updates: We will be sharing calls for mobilization as we receive them, but getting direct communication from Seattle Indivisible is highly recommended. They will announce mobilization via Signal, email, social media, and their website.
- Sign up for Signal announcements
- Sign up for email notifications (choose major events)
- Bookmark this website
- Make a plan: Coordinate with friends. Make a plan in advance to get to downtown Seattle. Pack a bag, snacks, water, signs, wet-weather gear, headlamp.
- Go over safety reminders: This is a great checklist to review NOW so you have the items you need and are clear on your reasons for participating.
- Speak out: Even if you can’t show up, you can still defend this election. Share verified information. Challenge disinformation. Make sure people know what is happening and how to respond.
At this time, we will NOT be hosting rallies in Issaquah and will be focusing our efforts on supporting, contributing to and participating in events in Seattle. It is imperative that we show up in unprecedented numbers to stand together and act nonviolently so that electeds, the press and the country take notice as we defend the right of every eligible American to vote.
We hope that election results will be respected, but we will stand together, act nonviolently, and defend the right of every eligible American to have their vote counted. We will not be intimidated, divided, or silenced.
